The Vietnam Electricity (EVN) said that eight-month-accumulated commercial power generation was estimated at 139.06 billion kilowatt hours, an increase of 10.29 percent over the same period last year. Of which, domestic commercial power generation rose by 9.86 percent.
Solar power generation in August was at an average of 31.1 million kilowatt hours per day, accounting for about 4.5 percent of total power generation in the power grid. Power continued to be transmitted from the North to the Central then the South of Vietnam with power transmission estimated at 17.6 billion kilowatt hours. Highest power transmission capacity on the 500kV power line from the North to the Central was 2,000 megawatts and 2,950 megawatts on the power line from the Central to the South. Power transmission to the South of Vietnam was about 31.1 million kilowatt hours per day, or 10.4 percent of power demand in the South of Vietnam.
